In a Special 15 minutes Wired video available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon TV, and more, Mayim Bialik, the Big bang theory Actress with a professional background as a real Neuroscientist answered really important questions that most people asked, revolve around neuroscience.

Question one: How Does Caffeine Affect the Nervous System?

If you are someone who drink coffee which a lot of people do, and you are wondering why you’re going to the restroom a lot, well, Dr. Bialik have the answer.
“Caffeine affects the nervous system by doing a lot of excitatory things, it increases your heart rate,” Mayim told Wired. “it will make you go poop and pee because it’s a diuretic.”
However, the Caffeine also give you boost to your alertness and make you more vigilant and that where most people Drink coffee for. “.. it does increase alertness and vigilance,” she said.
She also talked about the fact that caffeine is addictive and what the long term affect will be.
Mayim Bialik explained: “it is addictive so it [Caffeine] affects the nervous system by getting the nervous system used to having it as a normal way to function, and it resets your sense of normal. So, that’s why when you quit caffeine you go into withdrawal.”
“Withdrawal is also known as detoxification or detox. It’s when you quit , or cut back, on using alcohol or other drugs.” According to The Alcohol and Drug Foundation. Because You may have developed a physical or psychological dependence on a drug.
Question three: Which Neurotransmitter act to facilitate learning?

The answer to this question is not a straightforward one, because according to Mrs. Bialik is a complicated process that involves many neurotransmitters that you might think are irrelevant, so, there is no telling what the exact neurotransmitter that acts to facilitate learning.
“That’s a really difficult question to answer, I mean all of your neurotransmitters contribute to everything about you,” Mayim Bialik, the actress, and neuroscientist said. “The way that we learn is really because of a lot of things, it’s because of attention, it’s because of mood, it’s because of reward activation.”
Question Five: How to keep your nervous system Healthy?

I personally agree with her, especially when it comes to drinking, Drugs, and pharmaceutical products. they made your life worst and damage the nervous system, I believe that anything that was made by humans that affects the brain is bad for your health. the actress also added some other advice for you, Don’t forget she is a real neuroscientist after all.
“Well, this is a wonderful question,” The Neuroscientist said. “get a lot of sleep, drink a lot of water, eat as simply as possible, do not drink alcohol at all if you can avoid it, I would say avoid as much pharmaceutical impact in your life as possible, and avoid illicit drugs they’re generally not good for your nervous system, learn how to breathe properly, meditate, and please go to therapy.”
